Alacruun wasn't honestly expecting Dixon to attack him. He's also not actually that good at fighting when he's a humanoid. He's used to spellcasting or just being a dragon. Not getting hit in the face. He lifts his hand in a defensive gesture and then staggers back as Dixon's fist connects with his face.
